SUBMISSION TO IRISH MEDICINES BOARD ON HERBAL MEDICINAL PRODUCTS - 30TH JUNE 2001

Irish Medicines Board established the Herbal Medicines Project following
a request by the Minister for Health and Children that the regulation of ‘traditional and alternative medicinal products including herbal medicinal products’ be reviewed and that a proposal for an interim national licensing scheme be developed for such products. The Scientific Committee on Herbal Medicine Products (SCHMP) was set up to conduct this review and to make proposals. The IRCHM made several submissions to the SCHMP during this process.
