WHAT IS THE IRCHM ?

The Irish Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (IRCHM) was founded in October 1999 to regulate the practice of Chinese Herbal Medicine in Ireland. It is the aim of the IRCHM to help provide a high standard of quality care to the public. The Register is established as a self-regulating body to ensure the professional training, ethical and clinical practice standards of its members

The Register is a constituent member of the Irish Herbal Practitioners Association (IHPA,) which is an umbrella organization incorporating the different traditions in herbal medicine in Ireland. Through the IHPA the Register has direct affiliation to the European Herbal Practitioners Association (EHPA), which represents herbal practitioners of all traditions throughout Europe. Also as a constituent member organisation of the European Association Of Traditional Chinese Medicine (EATCM) our members are part of a 5,000 strong European professional clinical practitioner association
